Lawn Chair
Film Festival

In 2001, Saginaw residents Robert and Arlene Maul started the Lawn Chair Film Festival in the parking lot outside their apartment. They set out to bring independent movies to a community that didn't have the best access to them—all for free. Now fourteen years deep, the festival still shows films in that same parking lot. Every sunday night in summer, free of charge.

The festival has changed some over the years, bringing in different genres to appeal to a wider audience, but it remains the same at heart. I started volunteering with them in 2013 and eventually started doing some design work for them: sponsor banners, sponsor videos, kickstarter videos, and more.
